Pastoral Counseling

There is a need for counseling in many lives today.  We are observing Christians trusting worldly counsel over spiritual.  Let’s take for an example a subject, the subject of prayer.  Christians will pray and pray and not have a clue if God is hearing them or not.  Moreover they won’t say anything to anybody about this, even though the problem will persist for weeks, and months sometimes years, yet counseling is unrealistic to them.

Other matters are occurring in people’s lives, issues such as serious relational problems, or financial bondage, even addictions, and they will just let the problem fester until a sense of hopelessness takes them over.  Beloved don’t choose to hurt choose victory remember He always causes us to triumph in Christ.

Jesus is more in tune with our mental faculties, our emotions, our hurts, our disappointments, our victimization, our out of control behavior, etc. than any one else on earth.  Why not go for godly counsel and put an end of problems you suffered for years, decades, and some maybe even all your life.  Counseling is the express role of the Holy Spirit, and a godly counselor will employ the direction and leading of the Holy Spirit when giving you counseling.

With God there are always possibilities!  You may have struggled for years, but God can and wants to set you free.  Through prayer, absolutely, through fasting, you bet, through the hearing of God’s Word, no doubt, but don’t forget through counseling!
