VISION

Endeavoring to be an assembly after the Father’s heart Keeping Christ as our prize and focus

Evangelistically driven by Christ’s love to see the unsaved un-discipled poor and the hurting transformed by Christ’s love both home and abroad.

MISSION STATEMENT

1. First Love is a congregation that is focused on becoming an assembly after the Father’s Heart…..loving what He loves and seeing people and the nations from His eyes, aiming always to please Him and to keep Him as our First Love.

2. Strongly focused on making disciples of Jesus Christ, primarily but not exclusively of those who are third world people, either by financial status or by location in the world.  Our commitment is to see lives transformed to the extent that the most destitute of persons will be changed by Christ Love.

3. We are aiming to witness transformations that are radical and awe inspiring.  Seeing those who were bound by various addictions and completely self absorbed so radically changed that they become delivered from selfishness, and interested in pleasing God more than self.

4. A primary part of the mission will be to develop real Men and Women of God who are committed to the Lord first and to their marriages, their children, and their new life in Christ.  Men and Women of God who embrace their Christianity so that the Great Commission is their dedication. 

5. Our teaching will be educational, biblical and committed to the integrity of God’s Word.  Because of the power of the Word of God we will expectantly anticipate life changing results in children, youth, and adults.  Christians and non Christians alike will be taught that blessings, prosperity, favor, and all of the promises of God are intricately connected to their personal submission to the Kingdom of God and their placing the Kingdom First.   

6. It is and will remain our mission to reach as far into third world countries as the grace of God will enable us to.  Likewise to see many come into the family of God and wonderful relationship with Him through Jesus Christ our Lord. 

7. We will send and support missionaries, establish churches, launch out ministers into various areas and countries, to care for the poor, the hurting, and to shepherd God’s sheep.  While this will remain our pinnacle goal we will not abandon the needs of the community, but we will work in our own Jerusalem (Frederick) working for the needs of the poor advocating for community progress, health care and the myriad of other needs that are confronting this community.  God called us here to have Frederick as our hub and from beginning to the end we will touch lives here in Frederick, Maryland, America, and every Nation the Lord opens to us for His glory and for His Honor ALL PRAISE TO JESUS!
